Personal Statement
My grandfather introduced me to golf at a young age and within the last couple of years, I began playing and practicing at a more serious level. Through many years of playing other competitive sports, I have developed a mindset dedicated to the success of my team. My main goals are maintaining a GPA of 4.0 or higher as well as further developing my golf game and IQ. I have always been tough on myself, never settling for average both academically and on the golf course, which I believe is shown in my grades and disciplined practice regimen.
As the pandemic hit in the spring of 2020, I started working at Rose Park Golf Course in Salt Lake City. My high school classes quickly transferred to online distance learning which proved challenging, however it allowed for me to put in extra hours playing and practicing every day. I have immersed myself in the golf community. We have mild winters in Utah, allowing me to play 12 months per year. I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to meet and play with amazing people, including Tony Finau and coach Boyd Summerhays.
I have loved playing and competing at the junior level and look forward to continuing at the collegiate level. I am looking for a school where I can grow both academically and as a golfer. I have been truly amazed at the places golf has taken me so far, and I am excited about where this journey will continue.
I keep my golf bag at the foot of my bed every night.
