Hello,
My name is Drew Engard. I am a sixteen-year-old Hispanic male from Vermont who would be the perfect candidate for any college golf team. For three past three years, golf has been more of a lifestyle than just a sport. Currently, I work at two golf courses all while balancing side jobs, golf, and school. I started playing the sport competitively five years ago. Though I was not good, I still wanted to succeed, I practiced like I still do today, any time not spent working is spent at the course. As my coaches can attest to, I am a coachable athlete. At the start of the 2020 season I was very inconsiat with most all of my clubs, today I hit them the same each and every time. I have realized during my time playing, being social and articulate is a strong suit of mine. Throughout my time playing, I have made countless friends and connections to the business world that will help me succeed in my life. Academically I am a strong student. Freshman year I struggled in school. I was averaging a C+ in almost every class. Sophomore year I realized the importance of grades, this school year I have an A average. I am a hands-on learner and social learner. I have to be around other in order to thrive in a school environment. This may mean one partner or an entire class, either sounds fun to me. Coaches, not only are you getting a student who has positive, goofy at times, light-hearted, caring, articulate, and motivated attributes to your team, you would also be getting a solid golfer who can only improve his game.
I hope to hear from you soon,
-Drew Thomas Engard
