Anders Palmquist '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Anders Palmquist and I will be a Senior at Arrowhead High School in Hartland, WI during the 2021-2022 school year. I started playing golf at the age of four through the Aspen Junior Golf program in Aspen, CO and have been playing ever since. I competed on my school's junior varsity team this year and won four meets and placed second in two, out of a total of 10 meets.  The Arrowhead High School Golf Team is well known as one of the finest in the Midwest. I will be competing in at least eight Wisconsin Junior PGA events this summer and hope to play more going into the fall. I also look forward to competing with the varsity team during the 2022 season. 

I played several sports growing up but always knew that I would play golf moving forward. I have a passion for the game and love being able to contribute as a member of a team where friendships and camaraderie are formed. I bring a solid foundation of golf knowledge with me and hold in high regard the the "honor" aspect that golf requires. I intend to study Business and Golf Management in college with the goal of building a career in the golfing industry.  

I have worked hard to improve my game this past year and will continue to do so indefinitely. Recently I have improved my alignment and have been striking the ball well. I have always had a strong short game and putt the ball well with consistency. Part of my love of golf comes from the fact that I know I can always improve in some area of my game.
