Patrick Bohrer '11 Recruiting Profile

Some accomplishments I have made so far in my golf career are my second and third place finishes and many top ten finishes in many tournaments consisting of more than one hundred to two hundred players ages 15 to 18. I have been a team captain all throughout high school in golf, basketball, and volleyball. I feel I am a good captain because I don't abuse power and I am accepting and stay calm under different situations. Another strength is my ability to remain positive. I am gracious in victory and humble in defeat. This is one thing I like to say before each tournament round with the team. Being from Wisconsin, I really only have about five solid months of golf a year and the rest is spent at indoor driving ranges so a school in the south would be ideal; however, staying close to home would be nice too. I have been going to small schools for most of my life and it is nice, however a bigger scene would be nice. That said, size is not much of a factor to me and nether is division. I am a practicing catholic so faith based schools are something I'm used to. With a sister in college a scholarship of any kind would be very helpful to my family. I plan to go into business and am also looking into the PGM program. I have wanted to be a businessman since I was little and the topics of sales marketing and management are all things I would like to go into. I am looking to play golf in college because I have always had a passion for the game of golf and what opportunities it presents. I have also played sports for as long as I can remember, so having the structure of class work along with physical work is something I feel I need and would be lost without. I feel I could make an impact on any college team I find myself on because of the desire I have to play golf and the want and feeling of wanting to get better each time I go out on the course, practice range, or putting green.
