I am Jacob Begich a 2023 NA3HL Top Prospect with the Norwich Sea Captains. As a 2022 graduate of Kenai Central High School, Alaska with a final semester GPA of 3.67 I will be pursuing a career in Athletic training/sports medicine. My goal is to be a college student-athlete in NCAA ice hockey. In ice hockey I have achieved superior skill at the Tier 3 junior, Alaska State High School and Midget AA levels. I have earned all Alaska State Tournament Team, 3 State Tournament Player of the Game, State Sportsmanship Award, 3-years All-Conference Award recognitions, and led the Kenai Central High School and Midget U18 AA team in scoring from my forward position. I have also received several all-tournament team award recognitions during the 2021-2022 high school hockey season, team MVP awards and was awarded the 2022 Kenai Central High School Male Athlete of the Year Award and Radio Broadcast Athlete of the Year from the local ESPN broadcast affiliate radio station, KSRM.
In addition, to competitive ice hockey, I am a 2022 Alaska State Athletic Association Regional and State Champion sprinter. During this season, 2022 I am Region III Champion in both the 100-meter and 200-meter sprint as well as a member of the Region III Champion 4 x 100-meter relay team. I am also a 2022 Alaska State Athletic Association State Track Champion as a team member of both the 4x100-meter and 4 x200 relay teams for Kenai Central High School. Also at the Alaska State Track Championships I finished in second place (silver medalist) in both the 100-meter and 200-meter sprint and was named to the Alaska State Athletic Association All-State Track Team as a member of the Kenai Central High School track team and invited to compete as a sprinter in the Brian Young All-State Track Meet. Finally, I played in the Kenai Central High School concert band.
I welcome the opportunity to discuss all of these materials on my NCSA account, my athletic and educational skills, ability and potential to earn a spot on your roster as I pursue my dedicated activities to become a college student-athlete. Thank you.
