Personal Statement
I started playing hockey on a rink our family built on the side of my house when I was two and ever since then, I knew I wanted to perform at the highest level. I began travel hockey at age 7 and then joined the Colorado Thunderbirds AAA hockey organization at age 12, where I played through U18. The hockey culture that the coaches created at the Colorado Thunderbirds encouraged development of character as well as competitive hockey players. From this culture, emerged a strong hockey community that supported us as teammates through the years of the travel hockey experience.
I consistently work hard and am dependable both on and off the ice. Both hockey and academics complement one another in teaching me how to balance my time. At the moment my academic interests include Aviation, Engineering, and Business and Economics.
