My name is Nicholas Bowers, and I attend Regis Jesuit High School. I have been playing hockey since I was six years old. Hockey has helped me gain an understanding of leadership on and off the ice. The association I play for now, hosts an event that lets little kids try hockey for free. As players, we assist with this event both on and off the ice. In addition to hockey I am working on completing the requirements for my Eagle rank in Boy Scouts. Both, Boy Scouts and Regis Jesuit High School, stress the importance of giving back to the community. It is important to me that whatever team I play for, understands that I am looking for more than just the opportunity to play hockey. I am not only a hockey player, I also earned a varsity letter from my high school swim team during the 2018/19 school year. I have dyslexia which causes me to have to work a lot harder in school, along with balancing my busy athletic and community service schedule., I was still able to maintain a 3.05 GPA.
