Alexander Lumpkin '23 Recruiting Profile

Since the age of 5, the ice has been my second home. Between my work ethic and competitiveness it was the only sport that could satisfy my hunger to be the best student-athlete I can. Today, one of my favorite parts of being the starting goalie is being the leader on and off the ice. When things are down and Captains are panicking, I have the ability to help my team battle through the adversity at hand together as a unit. This is why I am shooting to be a Captain on the team next year. 

When it comes down to it, the record doesn’t matter, the talent doesn’t, what matters is the people who can handle adversity on all fronts and can battle through it alongside their brothers on the battlefield we call the rink today.  This is why I believe I can be a value able asset to anyones team, because I know that my wins, my awards and my stats are irrelevant without having a supportive field of closely knit brothers at my side.
