Thomas (TJ) Greenwood '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Thomas Greenwood, I go by TJ. I've played Hockey since I was 5 and have been skating since 3. Ever since the first time that I touched the ice, everything I do has revolved around Hockey. Whether it be shooting pucks in the driveway, watching games, practicing, or playing in games of my own. I am in my junior year at Arlington Catholic High School, playing for the varsity Hockey team. School and Hockey have always been top priorities in my life. In my earlier years of school, my parents were always adamant about getting my schoolwork done before anything else and it's stuck with me. This has helped me to maintain my current 3.8/4.0 GPA and helped me achieve making the honor roll every quarter of school since the 7th grade. I have been increasing the difficulty of my classes since 8th grade beginning with advanced math classes. I then moved on to take honors in my freshman year where I attended Dracut High School. As my sophomore year came around I decided to further my academics and athletics here at Arlington Catholic by playing for the Hockey team and increasing the number of honors classes I was taking. As a junior this year I am returning as a varsity player and continuing with honors classes alongside taking AP English. On my athletic side, I have been playing club Hockey with the Assabet Patriots for 5 years now. In my first year, I was on the 06' Select team, then moved on to play u16 for 2 years, and am now in my second year of u18 as I play for the u18 Tier 2 Prep team with Coach Greg Carter. I've grown up watching Hockey East, AHA (Atlantic Hockey Association), and NE10 (New England 10) teams as they're local to me, and have always dreamed of playing at one of those schools. Since I was a little kid my dreams have always consisted of playing Division 1 or Division 2 college Hockey and moving on to play in the NHL. Of course, as I've grown my goals have become more specific and detailed along with accepting the fact that playing professionally is not a guarantee and entering the working world with a strong education is a good and achievable goal.
