Jake Camel '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jake Camel. I am a junior attending Middlesex School in Concord, MA and am a starter on the Men's Varsity Hockey Team. As a student I dedicate my time and efforts to understanding the material presented to me in class and find satisfaction when I can apply this newly acquired knowledge to a real world application. As an athlete I dedicate just as much effort to improve my skills and conditioning and promote time to studying the game of hockey. I began playing travel hockey when I was 6 years old. Since traveling for over 10 years to numerous cities around the United States, Canada, and Europe, I have not only gained tremendous experience for game-time situations but have also created close bonds with my teammates and the have learned the key aspects of being a leader. I like to keep my game simple and would characterize myself as a consistent defensemen whose prime goal is to protect the defensive zone but who is not afraid to jump up into the play and be an effective, offensive threat. I aspire to play hockey at a high level in college. Hockey is my passion and I will strive to continue to get better at the sport I love.
