Personal Statement
I am an extremely hardworking student athlete, with over 9 years of hockey experience. Additionally I was able to make my high school varsity team as only a sophomore. In that season I was able to win rookie of the year by scoring 1 goal and obtaining 3 assists. While in my junior year when I earned more playing time I was able to record 7 goals and 8 assists in 10 games allowing me to be named a Sun Chronicle Allstar. Whenever the team is in a need of a big play I am the person to step up. Additionally I am a very coachable kid, and will never give up under any circumstances. I am a leader not only on the ice, but off the ice as well. I help run dry land conditioning workouts for my high school team twice a week. Furthermore, I am a successful student with a 3.94 GPA. Also I am a member of the Best Buddies program at my high school, and take action in a plentiful amount of volunteer work. Thanks to my academic success, I was able to become a member of both the National Honors Society and the World Language Honors Society.
