I have been playing hockey since 3 y.o. when I pushed my first orange cone on the ice at mini mites in St Clair Shores, Mi. Since that day, I developed a passion for hockey and I am in love with the game. I have played both house and travel hockey. Playing both taught me that no matter what team I have played for , who my coaches are , what division my team was in , I had the opportunity to push myself and become a better , stronger hockey player and teammate. I also value the importance of academics and having the balance of a strong foundation of education while developing as a hockey player .
A major turning point in my life is when I decided to attend the University Of Detroit Jesuit ( U of D) high school instead of my local public high school. It was hard to leave my core group of friends who are my fellow hockey buddies from my travel hockey team to attend U of D. However, I realized I had a better opportunity not only to thrive as a hockey player , but as a person , “Men For Others “. I have been able to prosper both academically (Received Scholar Athlete award), achieved Honor Roll for the last 3 years, but also earned my Varsity Letter in hockey and was selected Assistant Captain this year for the U of D Varsity hockey team.
My goal after I graduate from U of D is to play hockey for as long as I can. I am committed to all aspects of staying fit starting with working out, nutrition, and mental health. When I joined the U of D Varsity hockey team last year , I lead the team in game winning goals. This year I was blessed to be named an assistant captain. I am not only determined to continue to grow as a player every practice, but I want to make others around me better as well.
