Carson Musser '15 Recruiting Profile

I am Carson Musser, I am a defenseman for the Michigan Nationals U18 AAA team. I want to play at that "next level" which right now in my mind is DI college hockey. I'm hoping to make a junior team in the USHL or NAHL until it's time or until I'm eligible to play at the collegiate level. I am a great defensive defenseman and I have been told I have incredible hockey sense, but I also have the ability to be offensive when the time is right. I am a strong leader with great character. I have been the captain of my team for the last  5 years. My leadership style is to lead by work ethic and example. You will always get 100% from me all the time, on the ice, in a game, in practice, or as a teammate. I am a pretty vocal leader, just not the kind that can stand up and give a great speech off the top of his head, but a challenge the people around me to push themselves and to play their best. I value my character and integrity, I'm not the kind of person who would embarrass himself, his family, or his organization online or in public. Athletically I am very gifted, I find myself able to play most sports. Except golf. My golf game is a work in progress. I also played lacrosse for the first time this spring, making the Varsity team as a Junior, and was elected to be one of the team captains. Academically I am a very bright student. I have carried above a 4.0 GPA throughout my first 3 years of high school and I plan on keeping it that way.
