Personal Statement
I have long loved hockey since I could remember. I learned how to skate at age 3 and at age 4, was registered through USA Hockey to start playing organized hockey. Hockey is my passion and I am inspired by my coaches who have mentored me through the years. Some attributes they have instilled in me is to work hard, lead by example, play disciplined, be respectful and have fun. I play the center position. I am a coachable well-rounded team player with speed, good hands and excellent in anticipating play. I am a goal scorer, but love to pass the puck for assists. I take pride on my face-offs and backchecking abilities. As a student athlete, I consider myself a competitor and a leader who likes to encourage others to do their best. In the classroom, I study hard and complete all class assignments to maintain good grades. I have made the honor roll multiple times and received several positive remarks from many teachers. I am looking forward to college. An opportunity to play college hockey would be a huge honor. I will strive to be an asset to the team. I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the ice, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects the team, my coaches and the school I attend. I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the ice. My goal is to achieve a college degree and play hockey at the highest level possible. I would be an excellent candidate for your team because I am a dedicated hard worker with high energy, passion and positivity that will give 100% every shift.
