Tanner Vance '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tanner Vance, I am a senior at Prior Lake High School in Minnesota. Over the past nine years, hockey has been more than just a sport to me; it's been a way of life. I've dedicated countless hours to becoming the best player I can be and am excited about the possibility of joining a college hockey program. 

Hockey became a part of my life when I moved to Minnesota in the 3rd grade. Since then, the sport has shaped my character, work ethic, and sense of teamwork. Whether it's early morning practices, late-night games, or off-season training, I've embraced the challenges and learned valuable life lessons through this sport. 

What defines me as a player is not just my skills on the ice but also my commitment to my teammates. Having played at various levels for the past 9 years I've learned the importance of leadership, communication, and motivating others to do their best. I believe that a strong team is built on trust, respect, and a shared determination to succeed. 

My dream is to play college hockey and to continue to grow both academically and athletically. I understand the demands and sacrifices required, and I am prepared to put in the work to excel in both areas. My dedication in the classroom matches my commitment on the ice, and I'm excited about the prospect of balancing my studies with my passion for hockey.
