I have always loved hockey since a very young age and started to skate at four years old. As a kid, I was always extremely active, playing multiple sports including, football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse and of course hockey. Playing all these sports, I found that hockey was my favorite and it’s the sport I'm most passionate about.
I love the game of hockey for so many reasons. It’s an action-packed, fast-paced sport that involves a lot of mental awareness and physical toughness. I like the hockey environment and the type of relationships I can build with my teammates and coaches.
Coaches have told me that when I’m on the ice, I have a knack for making things happen from small opportunities, I finish what I start, and I’m hard working both on and off the ice. I have always worked to play a high level of hockey. I have pushed myself to play at this level because it fills my competitive nature, pushes me to be the best that I can be, and it’s just fun!
The hockey attributes that I can bring to the team are my hard work ethic, resilience, determination, and smart hockey sense. I work off-ice to improve my skating and hockey skills with additional training, workouts, drills, and catching any hockey game on tv.
Outside of hockey, I’m an good student, who is still looking for what i want to do long term in like engineering. Im not exactly sure what my job may be.
I want to play hockey in college because I love the game and want to continue playing for as long as possible. I feel that I still have more to prove in the game and want to challenge myself to accomplish these goals. I’m looking to play for a college where I can both excel academically and be an asset to their team.
