I have always loved the idea of success. Ever since my first goal in House League I have wanted to take this game of hockey seriously. I was around 10 years old when I started skating. My cousin was the one who first introduced me to hockey and every since my first skating lesson I fell in love. After that I was glued. The only thing I wanted to do was shoot pucks and play street hockey. Overall, hockey has taught me that I am a very hardworking and determined person. I am never satisfied with my current level and I am always pushing myself to be the best on each team. My goals for high school are to be inducted into the National Honors Society and be recognized as a Student Athlete in my school. For college, my goals are to play NCAA hockey, major in Biochemistry and pursue a Masters Degree. I am very interested in Chemistry and Biology and I would like to use these subjects to further advance scientific research. In the earlier years of my life, I have struggled with school. In Elementary School, one of my teachers thought I wasn't meant for school and many people have said that I have started too late to succeed in hockey. I have learned to use their doubt as motivation for success. I am looking for a school that will be able to utilize my perseverance and tenacity on and off the ice. I believe I have the talent to play college hockey. However, I also believe my work ethic, my motivation and my overall character will impact your program for the better. As someone who has had to work for everything they have achieved in life, I know I have what it takes to win.
