After being asked to participate in the Wilkes-Barre/ Scranton Knights Camp last summer, I now aspire to be recruited to the Junior Hockey team. My career goal is to play for the NHL but to still attend college for a business degree. One of my coaches has always told me to aim for getting three points per game. Since then, that has been my focus and has helped me to always put points on the board. This advice has allowed me to led my team in goals for the past couple years. I’ve been told from my coaches that I have a tremendous hockey IQ and the ability to communicate with other players. Even though I am aggressive on the ice, my vision and determination has allowed me to stay focused and play well. I have a plethora of skills that include a quick release snap shot and a background that helps me succeed in the game. I come from a tight-knit family with tremendous support and many values. I’ve learned to use these skills to be a team player and support my team with valuable feedback. I usually play left wing and center but because I am well-rounded, I’ve also played as a defenseman. Lastly, I understand that positivity and support make a successful team but keeping an open mind learning is always essential.
