Edwin Zhao '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi coaches,

I’m Edwin Zhao.I started learning to skate and play hockey at the age of four, and I quickly fell in love with this sport. I’ve played for tier 1 AAA teams over 7 years.

I pride myself on my highly skills,good vision and  hockey sense, especailly strong team spirit. I believe that the success of the team always comes before individual achievements. This mindset helped our team win the 2022-2023 AYHL Playoffs U15 AAA National Elite Champions and achieve the U15AAA runner-up position in the NAPHL Playoffs . I also contributed to my high school team’s victory in the 2023 MCT Championship.

I was recruited by the Rockets Hockey Club junior elite team this season, where I’ve already made an impact, getting seven points in seven games. 

I made steady progress in academics while taking 5 challenging AP classes. My dream is to become an collegiate athlete, and I am working tirelessly to make that dream a reality. I am confident about the future, and my motto, “Never give up,” drives me forward every day.
