Carson Balester '24 Recruiting Profile

I began skating at the age of five. Even with being that young I knew I wanted to play hockey at a collegiate level. My father told me that I would have to stay focused and outwork everyone on the ice. Those words have stuck with me over the years.  

I have strong physical defense, high hockey IQ and mental toughness. I am a great teammate that has a positive and energetic attitude regardless of the situation. I am extremely coachable and always give maximum effort and encourage my teammates to do the same.

I put in the work to increase my physical strength on and off the ice, at my school weight room and at home. To continue to increase my hockey skills by taking clinics and welcome criticism and feedback to improve my game.

I was accepted to Saint Francis Preparatory School at the start of high school career. I study hard to keep a high GPA while playing 18UAA hockey for school and taking part in school activities. I also volunteer with seniors at an Assisted Living community in my town.

I am looking to attend a college where I can gain a competitive edge in life and in my hockey career. I am open to all college options and want to find the right fit.
