I have been playing hockey since I was 9 years old and I am currently 15 years old at the time of writing this. I have made rapid progress in becoming a better player going from house to travel without trying out for the team because of my ability to score goals. After my first year of playing in a house league I started playing travel hockey and only scored 1 goal in my first year. However because I am such a hard working determined athlete my results were much better in following years having 15+ for the next 4 years and last year with a 25+ goal year.
I'm always striving to become a better hockey player or even athlete in general. I also play Basketball and Soccer and I was a starter for the Varsity team at my school in both sports including winning the sectional title with my soccer team. I enjoy hunting and trapping and I took my courses the first year I was eligible because I enjoy doing it. I also enjoy riding four wheelers and I do play video games sometimes however I would much rather be working towards my goals in hockey. Every chance to go skating with my friends I always take even if it is just an open skate because I just love being on the ice.
I am a good team player and I am always trying to help my teammates rather than blame them or put them down. I see the ice very well and I am able to pass with precision and speed however I do sometimes pass more than necessary. I am more of a goal scorer on my teams and I was 2nd in western New York in goals on JV this past season with 23 goals in 17 games. I can fit in on any team with any players and will never drag the team down or disrespect an organizations name or coach or players.
In college I plan on being the best athlete and student I can possibly be and I will strive to be better than I was yesterday every day. I want to study Computer Science in college because I feel that this is the direction that society is moving so I feel it will offer the most jobs for me in the future and I also have a large interest in this field.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the ice. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and make my parents proud.
