My most memorable moments that have encouraged my growth as a person and a hockey player were as a younger player. First is when my team made it to Silver Sticks in Sarnia. We lost in triple over-time in the finals, however I was awarded the All-Star Team award. The second is that my team (Belle Tire) and I received a bid to the Pee Wee tournament in Quebec and after returning, we won the State championship.
Hockey has been my life since I was 3 years old. I have learned a lot about myself and being a team player. My family has supported me through this adventure with vacations as hockey tournaments, early morning travels and my grandparents always making the drive as well. Aside from playing hockey, I also play golf at the high school level. While focusing on hockey and maintaining my grades, I have held several work positions (umpire, cutting grass, work at golf course, work at ice rink, concrete work.) to further myself as a well-rounded person.
Lastly, I feel that what sets me aside from other players is my speed. I am a fast skater and know how to set up plays for myself and teammates. I am a leader and have learned from past experiences and choices that I have made.
