My dream to play college hockey started right when my feet first touched the ice. I saw a few players that were older than me, and hoping that I one day I could play at their level. My parents fully supported my dream, and made their best effort to get me as much ice time as possible. Wether that was attending stick time, private lessons, and even playing on two travel teams in a single season. I have always known that dreams aren’t handed out and used this as motivation to never stop working. I also believe that no matter how hard you work there is always someone working harder. Growing up at the rink taught me that I need to take advantage of my free time to get school work done, and that has stuck with me.
