Braden Neeson '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Braden Neeson. I’m 18 years old. My goals in life is to be a Head coach of a professional Ice hockey team!

What makes me a good candidate for your team is that I’m a hardworking winger with good hockey sense. I try to be in the right position every time when working in a system. One of my key roles is on penalties, I try to block as many shots to help out my goalie.

I’m currently captain for the Mid-Atlantic Black Knights and being so Im the one who helps my team out when needed the most wether that’s on the penalty kill, trying to switch the momentum, or keeping my teammates heads high when things aren’t going our way. 

I try to have a positive mindset when I play hockey even when there’s seconds left on the clock I know there’s still a chance and give everything to either tie the game or to win it. 

My style of play is chip and chase I like to go in the corners and set up behind the net.  Ive become comfortable below the net and in corners to avoid players and being pinned. I can get the puck to the slot to a man for a perfect shot and if I don’t see an opening I pass back to my defensemen instead of forcing.

What makes me different than other kids is my work ethic even if I’m not good at something I’ll make sure I train in that area more the following day.

 Lastly I’m not a flashy guy I go out there to do my job wether that be getting the puck to a goal scorer or simply blocking a shot I whatever it takes to put my team first and to put them on top.
