Marcus Glenn '22 Recruiting Profile

I began playing hockey when I was 4-years-old. I immediately fell in love with the sport and being on the ice was the right place for me.  I have steadily progressed due to my commitment as a player that works hard on and off the ice with the intent to pursue my dreams and contribute to my teams success. I possess professional character, leadership skills, and an outgoing personality that can help create unity and bonds amongst teammates and coaches and also contribute to the overall success of the organization. Many coaches have commented about how easy I am to coach because I will follow the lead of the coach in order to develop as a player and utilize my leadership skills to assist the coach building a successful team.

I like the physical aspect of hockey and can use my size to body check and win battles for the puck on a consistent basis. I consistently battle in front of the net to create opportunities for my line mates while screening goalies, getting puck deflections, and swarming rebounds.  My ability to accelerate and use large strides helps win races to the puck and helps me back check and fore check to create chaos during a game. In addition, my coaches have said that I have developed excellent vision and mental awareness to find open passes and consistently score goals. I am steadily progressing in the classroom and I have made a commitment to improve my academics in hopes of playing hockey in a collegiate or junior program.
