Personal Statement
My goal as a hockey player is to play at the highest level possible. I also highly value my academics and want to attend a school where I can both receive a quality education and play hockey at the highest level possible. The biggest aspect of my game as a defenseman is playing clean, physical hockey and being a shot blocker. I'm not afraid to battle in corners to win a loose puck and I'm definitely not afraid to put my body on the line to block a shot. I always strive to be the hardest worker on the ice and when it comes to skill, I believe my ability can match most players at my level, but I will give 110% every time I step on the ice. Another big part of my game I value is my hockey IQ. I understand that you can't always just work hard but have to be smart as well. I focus on making smart, simple decisions with the puck especially in my defensive zone and being a playmaker who can feed the forwards with tape to tape passes all over the ice but especially in the offensive zone.
