Daniel Ripstein '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Daniel Ripstein and I am here to pursue my goal and dream to become a college/pro student athlete. I have grown up playing hockey for the last 7-8 years and I have a deep love and seriousness for this sport. I have a great compassion to become better everyday, I like things to be earned to me not given and that’s why I give it my 110 percent to become the better player and student then the thousands of other players out there. I like to think ahead of the game as a defenseman it takes future thinking to know what your next move will be I like to know the game before any of the players on the ice so if i takes to step up and block a shot on time, or make a golden opportunity pass, or take the perfect shot for a goal scoring opportunity, that is the kind of player I am. I scan the game and use my speed as a quick reacting defenseman to help my team to a victory game. I like to let my natural game direct me where I will end up in the future with this sport, I like to play it simple and passive but also different in a way where coaches and scouts will notice me from the other players. It is my goal to become that next student-athlete/ pro player. Thank you for reading my personal statement.
