Personal Statement
I aspire to play at the highest level of hockey that my hard work, dedication, and ability will allow me to play. I was a three year varsity starter and Captain as well as All-Conference award winner during those years. I am a hard worker in the classroom and a good citizen outside of it . I have also had to overcome much adversity for someone my age, which has helped to shape my character.
My schools program was not very good when I arrived as a freshmen, but with a strong work ethic and belief in myself and my teammates, we embarked on a journey to bring a winning team to our program. With much hard work and dedication, we succeeded in going from a 1-23 record my freshman year to 14-7-2 as a senior. Being a three year captain, I feel my leadership and willingness to buy into what our coaches were teaching us was a key part of the success we had. Im sure my coaches would agree.
I am a solid two way defender, who finished 2nd in the State in goals , 4th in assists, 3rd in points and 2nd in points per game average, for defenseman. I feel I was snubbed in All State honors, which has left a sour taste in my mouth and only motivates me more to prove my doubters wrong.
I believe I can be an asset to any school or program due to my coachability, work ethic, leadership, and the fact that I love the game of hockey!
