Kaden Grant '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I'm Kaden Grant I am 16 years old and will be a 2021 high school graduate.  I live in Verona Wisconsin. I started playing the greatest game in the world, hockey when I was 4 years old.  After a couple years of playing I found a passion for playing goalie.  So as a squirt I decided to play it full time. I have been in the net for 8 seasons now.  I have a lot of knowledge of the game and of my position.  I have done goalie training with High Performance Goaltending coach Larry Clemens since I was 8 years old.  I am a great teammate, hard working, Athletic and very coachable. I'm currently a Sophomore and play for the Verona Wildcats high school team I am the starting Varsity goalie.  We won the big eight conference, Sectional finals, and finished 3rd in our State Tournament this season.  I was voted All Conference first team goalie.  I also play before and after high school with Team Wisconsin tier 1 team.  In 2018 I made the central districts development camp, I'm hoping to make the national camp this year.  Prior to this season I played 5 seasons of tier 1 with the Milwaukee Junior Admirals and Madison Capitols.  I play spring and summer hockey with the Wisconsin Selects and have played for many legacy sports selects teams in the past. I played travel baseball for several years (all positions) but last year decided to hang up the cleats to concentrate on working out and hockey. I currently work out at Total athletic performance with Paul Zwiefel and believe you must be in the best shape to compete at the highest level. 

My Mom and Dad own a Landscape company so I'm pretty good in a skid loader.  I also have 3 sisters Emily, Macey and Kelsy that all play travel Volleyball.

My goal is to play Junior A tier1 hockey in the United States.  Then play/ attend a division 1 college to get an education and help me develop as a person and hockey player. My ultimate goal is to play professionally in the NHL and I know it takes hard work both on the ice and off, in the class room and in the community.  I have done some volunteer service with Feed America and believe it's important to give back to the community.
