I am currently a junior and attend an independent K-12 college preparatory school, Polytechnic School in Pasadena. I am a midfielder for Tribe Lacrosse in Southern California and over the past 8 seasons have played attack and goalie, as well. In my first season of lacrosse there were several boys named Michael, so we took on nicknames. My teammates know me only as “Duke”. I love the game of lacrosse and it is my passion to play on the collegiate level.
I am a high Lacrosse IQ hard charging, focused and quick player who can score, feed and get ground balls. This year our team won the Southern California Club Lacrosse Championship (Pacific Lacrosse League). We finished the season ranked #1 High School Club Lacrosse team in the State of California.
This season I averaged 1.1 goes per game, 2 goals per game in 2017 and 1.7 in 2016. My coaches describe me as a team player with a great work ethic, always giving 100% effort and am very coachable. I have been a 4-season athlete in high school playing JV Football (running back, corner back), JV Soccer (goalie, defense), Varsity Badminton and Cross Country, as well as, playing Club HS Lacrosse. I am a team player and leader on and off the field. I have held 2 key three Troop leadership positions in Boy Scouts and am Life rank working toward becoming an Eagle Scout. I love backpacking and the outdoors. My focus remains my academic studies and have taken several AP Classes while maintaining a 3.7 GPA (weighted) (Chemistry, Biology, Calculus AB). My senior year I will take 4 more AP classes (English, Physics, Calculus BC, and Chinese).
I look forward to attending a selective Liberal Arts College or University and playing competitive men’s lacrosse.
