Charles Maynard '14 Recruiting Profile

I am Charles Arthur Maynard, known to some as Chaz, Chuck, and Charlesy Boy. I live in Madison, Connecticut and I am in the graduating class of 2014 at The Williams School in New London, Connecticut. I have been playing lacrosse for nine years, and I have had a desire to play at the collegiate level since middle school. I am very strong and agile allowing me dominate competitors that are twice my size. I train/practice four days a week constantly making myself better, striving for perfection. I am not only a tremendous athlete with quintessential stick skills, I also understand the mental aspects of lacrosse. I am constantly moving off-ball, thinking about my next cut, feed, or shot. Furthermore, I am an encourager and a leader. I have the ability to fire the team up and provide that source of energy that never ceases. I am looking for a school that challenges me academically and athletically, I want to reach new avenues in my life through my dedication to my academics and the game of lacrosse. I hope to one day leave a mark that changes the lives of those succeeding me; I want to set the standard–to be the example for my children and my children's children.
