Personal Statement
Success is defined as, “the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.” My goal is always to reach the highest level of success in anything I do. Life is filled with ups and downs, which is why I am thankful that I am on the right path and I am excited about the journey. I may be young but, each day I open my eyes, my commitment to putting in the hard work encourages me to work harder than I did that day before. When given the opportunity to play for a collegiate sports team, I will display my work ethic and my athletic abilities to the fullest. I aim to be the kind of player that continues to play hard, no matter what the score is or who is on the other side of the field. I enjoy encouraging my teammates, through my actions both within and outside the game. I am aware that I am human and that sometimes, naturally, I get nervous. However, I understand that it is not about being nervous, but overcoming that emotion and allowing it to fuel you to do your best.
Overall, I would like anyone who recruits me to know that, in me, they would be getting a determined player who will not stop until he achieves his goals. I look forward to new challenges and the grind towards success, both academically and athletically. I believe in putting in the work ahead of time. I always work diligently to complete assignments well in advance, so that I can review for upcoming exams and look ahead to future projects. I strive to be number one and understand that applying this attitude to my studies will not only make me a better student, but a stronger athlete and better teammate as well.
Lastly, as I mentioned, I know that life has ups and downs and it has not always come easy for me. My experiences have taught me a lot and with the love and support of family and coaches, I know I can contribute a lot to the school I attend.
