Jared Heller '19 Recruiting Profile

    As a lacrosse player at attack and midfield, I am unselfish and team-oriented.  I love to win and will compete fiercely to do so, but I will never leave sportsmanship back in the locker room and I will never stop caring about and supporting my teammates. I believe that is one of the reasons I was selected as a captain during my freshman year and will be the only sophomore captain in any sport at my school this coming year.  I respect everything about the game and have loved lacrosse since I first picked up a stick at age seven. I enjoy and thrive in the way it blends the diverse skills from the other sports that I play -  basketball, football and soccer.

      I will bring to your team a dedication to the game,  a smart,  tenacious athlete with a perceptive passing eye and a fast, accurate shot. I will contribute a large frame seasoned in the ability to gain leverage and fight for and win ground balls. But I will also conduct myself with unquestionable character, on the field and in the classroom, and with an enthusiastic personality that will lead and foster great chemistry among team members. I will contribute an exceptional work ethic to the lacrosse program and will bring the same vigorous attitude to the classroom. I was recently accepted into a special Global Studies Diploma program, and intend to pursue history and economics in college.

    As a collegiate student-athlete, I want to develop to be the best student,  best lacrosse player and best person that I can be.  I intend to make a vital and considerable contribution to the lacrosse program and to the community as a whole. Thank you for your consideration.
