The loss of my father has changed me. I'm a harder worker, always getting to practice early and leaving late after getting in my extra reps. Also, I spend as much time as I can to better myself as a player both physically and mentally. I usually watch at least two college lacrosse games per week to see the different strategies and techniques that I can use in my play. In addition, I play on a team that is relatively new, consisting mostly of first-year players. This may look bad from a stat perspective, but allows me to reinforce what I am learning by helping my teammates improve. Furthermore, I have a 3.259 GPA and do very well in school. Lastly, I have played sports my whole life and would like to continue playing in college. Academics do come before athletics but athletics play an important role in my life and who I am.
