Personal Statement
I began playing lacrosse in the 7th grade in Morgantown, West Virginia. From the first time I held a stick in my hands I have wanted to be the best lacrosse player I can be. Ever since I went to see my first college lacrosse game I realized I wanted to play at the collegiate level. Lacrosse has given a lot to me. It has taught me the values of teamwork, communication, and the importance of dedication. I have been able to use these skills to help bring my teammates up which is why I am one of our team captains. Off of the field I have used these teachings to be on the high honor roll and one of the very few to become a Greyhound Great, a prestigious school award. When I am off of the field, I continue to work for hours and push myself, so I can make my dreams of college lacrosse a reality. Playing at the college level would be a dream come true. It would also allow me to pursue my career in sports medicine, so I can help athletes bounce back from injuries. I am extremely dedicated to playing college lacrosse because seeing the relationship and hard work the college athletes put in drives me to play even harder. The drive and work ethic is what keeps me passionate about lacrosse and pushes me to do one more rep. A few of my best qualities are my strong lacrosse IQ, coachability, and my willingness to dedicate all my time to become the best student athlete I can be.
