The first time I put a lacrosse stick in my hand was in the fourth grade. I was just starting out then, but I could feel that this sport was unlike any that I played before. From that moment on, I excelled greatly in the sport. I developed from sitting on the bench most of my fourth grade year, to becoming the starting defensemen on the South Jersey Blackstorm 7th grade team. Lacrosse definitely pushed me to be the best athlete and leader. Academically, I did very well in middle school and I am doing well in high school now. I’m taking two honors classes, (chemistry, and Algebra 2). I maintained a 3.5 GPA my freshman year and I’m currently keeping my GPA at around 3.7. I do not know what I want to be when I grow up, but I am thinking about possibly doing something with technology, whether it be the sciences or engineering. I hope that lacrosse will open doors for me at competitive colleges so that I can pursue the best education possible. It would be a perfect match for me to attend an academically challenging college that allows me to compete just as hard on the lacrosse field. Also, I am very involved with extra-curricular activities at my high school. I am part of student council S.A.D.D. club, culinary club, and buddies club. It is important for me to stay involved with my student body as an athlete, a student, and a leader. This will prepare me to be an active participant in the college setting. Challenging academics and opportunities to get involved are very important aspects that I desire in college while playing lacrosse at the highest level of lacrosse.
