Having a learning disability isn't all bad even though it makes for a tough time. My name is Donovan Cleffi and I was diagnosed with one in the 4th grade. Ever since, I have worked extremely hard to compensate for it. I know that I need more time to learn things than the average student and apply myself 150 percent in the classroom and on the field to do so. Having a learning disability has taught me how to advocate for myself and has made me a hard worker. I have earned Honor Roll every semester in high school and was appointed the position of JV lacrosse captain this year. These milestones demonstrate how my hard work has paid off.
I love the game of lacrosse and everything about it and look forward to playing in college. Last year I committed myself to becoming a better athlete with the goal of playing college lacrosse in mind. I restructured my diet, improved my foot skills, worked hard and became one of the fastest players on the team.
I am excited to find the right college fit for me; academically, athletically and socially and anticipate further personal growth.
