Clay Matthews '22 Recruiting Profile

When approaching the college application process, my primary goal has been to find a school which takes pride in its academics, commitment to community service, and student activities / athletics. Civic involvement, service, and activism are important to me; and, I believe, vital to healthy and engaged communities. 

 Majors and areas of concentration that I intend to pursue include political science, international studies, and economics. My cumulative curriculum at the end of high school will include 11 AP classes including AP Latin, AP European History, AP US History, AP Micro and Macroeconomics, and AP Computer Science I&II … among others. 

 I am an Eagle Scout with a Bronze Palm, and I also received the Salvation Army Youth Volunteer of the Year Award in 2019 after running a food drive throughout the holiday season. I intend on making civic involvement an integral part of my adult life. I am grateful for the opportunities that I have been given, and I do not take those opportunities for granted.
