Gabe Schmitz '24 Recruiting Profile

I currently attend Gettysburg Area High School in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I was born in New Jersey and have moved a lot growing up for my mom's work. I have lived in New Jersey, North Carolina, Virginia, Connecticut, Tennessee, and Kentucky. I have two older siblings, a brother and sister in college, and two supportive parents. I didn't love moving as a child, but it made me who I am today. I have many different friends throughout the United States. As a third child, I am resourceful and good at keeping track of my stuff. I worked at two restaurants in New Jersey (near my grandparents) for the last three years and saved nearly every penny I earned. 

Growing up, I played Football (two years), Ice Hockey (3 years), Baseball (1 year), Lacrosse, Soccer, and Cross Country. I love sports! I am a fast runner and an intense player. I am a dedicated player and will give 110% to every sport I play. My high school is in its second year of having a Lacrosse team, there have been challenges but overall it's very fun. 

I look forward to the next few years, competing at the collegiate level and challenging myself academically and athletically.
