When I was young, I always wanted to be exactly like my older brother, so when I saw him pick up a lacrosse stick, I wanted to do the same. At the age of 6, I picked up my first stick after baseball practice and it took me one shot to fall in love with the game. I've learned through the sport that you don't have the be the biggest kid on the field to be the toughest, grittiest, hardworking player. For most of my career, I had been the smallest kid whichever field I stepped on. This shaped me to be tough and accepting that I would be hit. Now in High School, I am no longer the smallest kid on the field, but I carry the same mindset that I had when I was younger. Entering my Junior year, I plan to work harder than ever in school and raise my GPA as well as focusing on receiving good SAT test scores. In college, my goal is to manage my academics, (hopefully) lacrosse and to find a job when I graduate. I pride myself on not dwelling on a mistake I made the previous play and instead re-assessing the play and not make the same mistake when I get the ball again.
