Hi Coach,
I play several sports, but lacrosse has been my first passion since I started in 3rd grade. Although I had just completed my first year, I did not let it deter me from trying out for a select team in a division above my age group. I did not make the team, but with the help of my parents I wrote an email to the coach asking for feedback on areas to improve upon. I took his feedback and used the disappointment of not making the team to motivate me to practice wall ball and stick skills almost daily. The following season I not only made the team, but was a starter throughout the season. I believe that early life lesson was an influence in molding my character and work ethic, to be a student of the game and to heed the advice of my coaches. Today I find great satisfaction in helping the younger and less experienced players.
I am enrolled in all AP classes and maintain a 4.0 GPA. I take pride in being a leader and team player. I welcome opportunities to be challenged and excel.
I consider myself a good player, a better person and I am confident my contributions would be a benefit to your program.
