All my life, I have put college lacrosse on a pedestal. When watching college teams compete, it seemed like their field was another world. Even from the stands, I could feel their intensity and their spirit of competition. It seemed like a destination only reached by the best in the game. However, now that I am just completing my junior year, I am putting everything forward to playing on the same field as thousands of players before me.
No matter what team I get the opportunity to put the jersey on for, I will give everything I have every time I step on the field. Recently, I have quickly realized the weight that every game and practice carries. Ever since our 2020 season was cancelled, I decided to live by the mindset that every practice or game could be my last. Therefore, in athletics, in academics, and in life in general, I will compete all the time like it’s the last day I can. I always have something to prove to myself, and whichever team decides to hand me a jersey, I will spend my entire career proving it. I can’t wait to compete on the college lacrosse stage and give everything I have each chance I get. With only one year of high school lacrosse left, I am going to focus everything on taking my lacrosse to the next level.
