My name is Garrett Briere and I play defense for Bellarmine College Preparatory School in Tacoma, Washington for the class of 2026. I have played on multiple select travel teams over the years, as well as for my local club teams.
I like to describe myself as a player with a strong work-ethic, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to step up to any challenge (I have taken face-offs, played LSM, D-Middie, and even played goalie when my team needed it).
I chose to attend a college preparatory high school with a top-tier lacrosse program (many graduates are currently playing in college), so I can be a well-rounded student athlete, prepared academically, mentally, and athletically to take on the challenges of the next level.
On the field, my strengths are my communication (players and coaches call me the "quarterback" of the defense), my agility, my ability to read offenses (game IQ), and my physicality.
I understand that in order to be a great player, it takes hours of work both on and off the field. That is why I referee, engage in strength and agility training, and spend countless hours on my stick skills.
Ultimately, I want to complete at the collegiate level because I love the game of lacrosse.
