Hunter Chaplin '22 Recruiting Profile

To following coaches and teams:

     Hi, my name is Hunter Chaplin and I am a student at Bay Port High School. I have been playing lacrosse since 4th grade and have had a passion for the game ever since.  Being accepted into a college would be a major accomplishment for my family and I, especially to have an opportunity to do something I love and play lacrosse. My goal is to be accepted to a great college and be part of a team with a great athletics and academic program.  I would continue to strive to finish at the top of my class and be the best player and teammate on the field that I can be, while pushing myself to reach my full potential.

     I know that I would be a good candidate for any team because I'm am a hard-worker,  dedicated, and a proven leader.  My love for the game over these past years has contributed to me being very dedicated to the game and continues to make me strive to be greater every day. I believe that my vision and IQ of the field separates me from other players. I will not be the guy to nail top left from outside the box, but I will be the guy to find the open man before he is even open. Outside of the spring lacrosse season I continue practicing and playing in Fall/Winter tournament games for my club team.  I am a multi-sport athlete playing football in the fall. I have always loved to push myself to excel, gain my teammates respect as a player and as leader that helps make those around me better. 

     I also strive to excel in the classroom with my academics and have the same drive and as I do in sports.  I believe that my focus on academics will continue to help guide me to reach my goals and make me stand out as a leader not only on the field but in the classroom.

    Specific to Lacrosse, other than goalie,  I can play any position on the field at a high level. Throughout my years of lacrosse I have continued to challenge myself while doing what was best for the teams success. I spent my first 3 years on defense, played the next 2 years as a middie, and one year at attack. The 2018 summer I stepped up and played LSM for my travel team for a few games due to injury and had success. My main focus since playing in High School has been midfield, based on my history of playing multiple positions I have been very successful and earned a spot on the Varsity roster my Freshman year.

     In conclusion, I fully believe that I would be a great addition to any team, due to my continued drive and dedication on and off the field.
