Roberto Abad '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Roberto Abad and I have been rowing with Miami Rowing Club for 3 years under Coach Cesar Herrera. I was never a big fan of sports when I was younger but when I first got out on the water, I knew that this sport was for me. I think of myself as a very dedicated member of my team, not only am I dedicated to rowing but I am very dedicated to my schoolwork. As soon as I get home, I focus all my time on working on upcoming assignments and exams. I have discovered a passion in history and I am taking the hardest history classes my school can provide. Whenever I am having a bad day on the water or on the erg, I always think back on what I could have been doing wrong and I focus on those things the next day, I always listen to the advice my coach gives me and I watch rowing tech videos in my free time in order to improve my performance on the water. Rowing is something I really want to continue in College, if I get recruited I will try my hardest to improve and give you successful results both academically and on the water.
