I got introduced to rowing the summer of 2021. I attended a learn to row camp at Atlanta Juniors Rowing Association and immediately fell in love with the sport. I attended the developmental squad during 8th grade and was looking forward to becoming a competitive rower. I joined the novice crew full of passion and put all my effort into the sport. My obsession with rowing grew throughout my novice year and I strived to be on of the best rowers on the team. Coach August Felso (My Novice Coach), described me as "humble", "a good teammate", "a leader by example", and "very internally motivated" with a very good work ethic. As a varsity rower, my endeavor is to set a good example for the novices, as they look up to us. I love my teammates very much and I try to push them above their limits, whether it is running, erging, on the water, racing, or even for everyday things. It is my dream to become an accomplished athlete and row on a national level. Outside of rowing, I am a successful student, taking a variety of rigorous classes. I always keep my academics in check and maintain a high GPA. I am an extremely motivated student-athlete and strive to push myself above my limits. My goal is to attend a college that is right for me and where I can be a helpful addition to the rowing team.
