My collegiate goals and aspirations Here are some of my accomplishments in the areas of character, athletics and academics: Character I want to be a leader in any situation I am in by getting to know people, working with them and inspiring them. I hope to be respected by my colleagues by doing good work always. Scouting has been a great learning experience for me in my life. It is the combination of learning new things, achieving goals, working with people and developing leadership experience. These skills will guide me all of my life and I will put them to great use. I achieved my Eagle Scout rank in December 2014. My Eagle project was the biggest project I’ve ever led. It was difficult and I learned a lot about planning, leadership, and communication. I learned a lot about myself and my ability to get things done, lead others, and communicate what I wanted to happen with the project. Nominated for The National Order of the Arrow Society and became Troop 20’s OA representative. I worked hard to make the majority of the meetings, doing homework and eating dinner in the car on the way to/from them. I represented Troop 20 at the 2013 National Jamboree in West Virginia. In preparation I attended six months of monthly meetings. I demonstrated leadership and responsibility and was elected to the Assistant Senior Patrol Leader for my patrol. Attended my first High Adventure trip in the summer of 2014 - scuba diving in the British Virgin Islands with my Scout troop. To prepare, I took the classes in April, and got my full Scuba certification. I will continue to be an active Senior Scout, attending as many meetings and trips as my schedule allows. I won an award at my school called "Sophomores Stepping Up" for excellent community service recently. Athletics I have worked hard and consistently on my athletic training to always perform at my highest level. I plan to stay involved in athletics all of my life by training and joining local teams or clubs. I made the rowing team at New Trier my freshman year (both fall and spring try outs) and rowed as a novice. It has become my most favorite sport. I am completely committed to doing it for the rest of my life. As I rowed my first season, I moved up in positions from boat 3 to boat 1. We ended the season by winning a gold medal in the Blake Haxton regatta in Columbus, Ohio. I tried out again for spring Freshman season and made the team again. I was invited to attend the Scholastic Rowing Nationals in May where my boat, the New Trier Boys Freshman 8, won 1st place. I rowed Sophomore fall season in both the varsity 8 and light weight boats, placing in several regattas. Try outs for Spring season are March 2-6. Academics I am interested in areas of the sciences such as bioscience, biology, medical science, and environmental science. I have always applied myself in learning. My grades are consistently all A’s and an occasional B. My current weighted grade point average is 4.27. I have managed to do this even with a 3 hours/6 days workouts in rowing and and while achieving my Eagle Scout status. I am in all level 3 courses at a challenging, college prep level high school. I am doing very well. I am adding level 4 AP Classes my junior year. I have been on the honor roll throughout high school so far and plan to keep this going. I am starting to research my favorite colleges for Academics and Rowing and hope to get scholarships for both. My Goals To graduate New Trier High School with honors. To receive academic and athletic scholarships to a Division I or II school. To graduate from that university with a major in the sciences for my undergraduate degree. To graduate with a doctorate from a school focused on one of my interest areas of science.

It was a great experience once again and we are now officially the second best scholastic boys lightweight boat in the country.

Racing Camp was awesome. I was able to enjoy one-on-one coaching, training and great conversation from Head Coach Teti and current Varsity crew members. I meet new rowers from the area and learned a tremendous amount while fine tuning my skills. Highlights were rowing 5 seat behind a Henley Visitors' Cup Winner and Stroke in a 4 with another Henley Winner!! I recorded a personal best 2k time at camp!! Cal Berkeley is a school I'm looking at for study in the Sciences, so I also took a tour of the campus. It was a great experience.
