Personal Statement

My name is Ned Lyons, 2021 graduate (US 2022) from Melbourne, Australia. 

I have been rowing for 4 years and I love every aspect of the sport.  This past season my crew won the State Championship for the Division 1 under 19 eight.

In 2019 I featured on a basketball tour to the United States, we went to Texas, Florida and California playing and visiting schools in each State.  It has been my dream to be a college student/athlete in the US and I am willing to do everything in my power to reach that dream.  I have always been a great leader in my crews and always take on every session like its my last.  I feel like I would be a great option for recruiters for my talents in rowing and my drive to improve all aspects of my schooling life every day.
