Nikolai Skop '27 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to study engineering while competing in rowing at a high level. I want to be part of a program that challenges me both academically and athletically, and I hope to help my team win races while continuing to grow as a student.

I believe I would be a strong recruiting candidate because I bring good sportsmanship, a team-first mentality, and a drive to always improve. I like to keep practices competitive in a fun way, pushing teammates while also cheering them on.

What sets me apart from other recruits is my ability to stay focused on the bigger picture. Even when training or racing doesn’t go perfectly, I don’t get distracted or frustrated. I keep my head in the game, stay determined, and focus on the long-term goals of the team. I know that if we stay disciplined and committed, we’ll get the results we want.
