For the past 4 years I've been rowing for BCC. I started out in the 2nd 8 freshman year, once your at the bottom you can only go up. Junior year was my year. I came back from that long break because of COVID and immediately dropped 1min on my 5k. From there I could see my goal and it was my mission to make it happen. I wanted to be the top 12 ergs on the team. I achieved my goal and helped others do so as well. We almost got first at Stotesbury, we still have one more year to make it happen. Natural talent is just the starting line, and I look forward to all the academic challenges, I yearn for it. Rowing has given me so much, and has helped me bring out the competitor in me, and to see what my will is capable of doing. It also helped me connect with a new community of people at a new and larger school. I know this is said a lot, and at first I didn't believe it but with enough dedication, discipline, and determination your goals will be achieved, but now it's time to find new goals and reach new heights. I am a competitor and will find a way to succeed in what I want to better myself in.
